Giovanni Meledandri

Giovanni Meledandri is a Junior Legal Consultant who joined Spark Legal and Policy Consulting in 2025. He is part of the Employment, Education and Health area.  

Giovanni is currently contributing to the DG EMPL project “Targeted activities to support the impact assessment in the area of working conditions and protection of workers’ rights in subcontracting chains (Quality Jobs Act)” as well as to the study for the European Labour Authority (ELA) “New forms of ICT enabled work in a cross-border context”.  

Giovanni obtained a Master's Degree in law from the University of Trento in 2022 and completed his LLM in Public International Law from the Université libre de Bruxelles in 2023.  

Before joining Spark, he completed a ten-month traineeship at the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights based in Vienna, working with the migration and asylum sector. Before that, he worked as a research and project assistant with the Odysseus Network. He also works and has published independently as a legal researcher with the Italian think-tank CeSPI on the policies related to unaccompanied children applying for asylum in the EU and in Italy.  

Giovanni is a native Italian speaker, fluent in English and French, with a good understanding of Spanish and a basic knowledge of Portuguese.
