Emiliya Halanyk is a Trainee Consultant at Spark Legal and Policy Consulting, having joined the company in 2026.
Emiliya holds master’s degree in European law from Leiden University in the Netherlands. She also completed a minor in Global Law and Business. During her studies, Emiliya wrote a publication for the University of Hong Kong, evaluating COSCO’s Shipping FDI in the Port of Hamburg.
Before joining Spark, Emiliya worked at the European Commission, in DG GROW as a Blue Book Trainee, where she gained expertise on Internal Market legislation and on EU Enlargement coordination of Chapter 1 (Free Movement of Goods). Before that, she was a Business Development Representative in Siemens software development business – Mendix.
Emiliya is a native Polish and Ukrainian speaker, and she is fluent in English and Russian.
