Thomas Brcic is a Trainee in the Energy, Mobility and Environment area, having joined Spark Legal and Policy Consulting in 2026.
Thomas completed his LLB thesis at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands, assessing the compatibility of certain EU environmental measures with public participation rights under the Aarhus Convention. He then continued to complete his LLM in Energy and Climate Law from the same institution, comparing the regulations of several jurisdictions to assess their relative efficiency toward achieving mature offshore wind markets.
Thomas complements his studies with an internship at RWE, working in the legal and permitting teams for OranjeWind. He also has relevant experience in DGKV, a large corporate law firm in Sofia, in addition to a year co-directing the Netherlands’ Safe AI Initiative (SAIN).
He speaks English and Bulgarian natively and has a good understanding of Spanish.
