About Spark
Spark Legal and Policy Consulting is looking to recruit proactive, curious and highly motivated trainees to join our Brussels office full-time, between June and September 2026 (see details below).
This is a 6-month traineeship, offering you a chance to gain hands-on experience in legal and policy fields while working in an international and dynamic environment.
You will support one of the following areas:
- Justice and Home Affairs (June)
- Employment, Education and Health (June)
- Energy, Mobility and Environment (June)
- Internal Market, Financial Affairs and Competition (September)
- Communication Networks and Technology (September)
What you will do
As a trainee, you will:
- Support the preparation and acquisition of new projects and studies through tendering
- Assist with project management and coordination of cross-border research teams
- Conduct legal and policy research, analysis, and reporting on findings
- Liaise and communicate with high-profile experts and clients

This 6-month traineeship offers hands-on experience at the intersection of EU law, policy, and business development, in an international, friendly, and dynamic team.
What you will do
You will be joining our Private Sector team, working on both legal content and client-facing activities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including researching prospects and contributing to proposals
- Engage directly with corporate clients and legal experts, presenting our services and building lasting relationships
- Contribute to the preparation of client-ready deliverables, pitch materials, and project documentation
- Conduct legal and policy research, analysis, and reporting to support ongoing projects
- Support PR and communication activities, including content creation for LinkedIn, digital campaigns, and other external communications

- A proactive, entrepreneurial attitude; you take initiative and follow through
- Excellent research and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Fluency in English (other EU languages are an asset)
