New Study on Blockchain

A consortium led by Spark Legal Network has been selected by the European Commission (DG CONNECT) to conduct a study on the legal, governance and interoperability aspects related to Blockchain.

The study will analyse and assess the developments, trends and  emerging issues concerning regulatory frameworks with regard to blockchain technology and present policy options.

The objective of the study is to help refine and complement the EU blockchain initiative launched in early 2018, and to contribute to the building of the Next Generation Internet strategy. It will propose an EU-wide legal and regulatory framework adapted to the needs of this technology.
