New Impact Assessment Study for the Proposal for a European Innovation Act

We are proud to announce that we have been awarded a new contract by the European Commission (DG RTD) to assist the impact assessment study for a proposal establishing a framework of measures for strengthening Europe’s innovation ecosystem (European Innovation Act).

The objective of the Study is to provide robust analytical support for the preparation of a European Innovation Act, which aims to strengthen Europe’s capacity to innovate, ensuring that startups, scaleups, SMEs, and researchers can thrive and compete globally.

Spark, as part of a consortium led by CSIL, together with Prognos, Ecorys, Cincera, will study, assess, and evaluate research and innovation programmes and policies.

We will contribute by analysing the legal feasibility of the proposed measures under the EU Treaties and fundamental principles, ensuring that the options developed are effective, proportionate, and coherent with EU law.

We look forward to working with the European Commission and our consortium partners to build the evidence base for a European Innovation Act that will foster innovation, competitiveness, and sustainability across the EU Single Market.
