Maria-Elena Ciascai

Elena Ciascai is a Trainee Legal Consultant, having joined the Spark Legal and Policy Consulting team in 2025.

Elena obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Politics, Psychology, Law & Economics from the University of Amsterdam in 2022, then completed an LLM in European Private Law at the same university, focusing primarily on European consumer law and corporate due diligence frameworks.

Before joining Spark, Elena was Schuman trainee at the European Parliament, where she worked in the secretariat of the Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO) Committee. She also previously worked as a student legal researcher at the Amsterdam Law Clinics, providing legal assistance to NGOs on a project related to social auditor accountability for violations of workers’ rights in supply chains of the garments sector.

Her mother tongue is Romanian and she speaks English fluently.
