Elias Anttila

Elias Anttila is a trainee at Spark Legal and Policy Consulting, having joined the team in 2024.

Elias obtained an LLM in European Law in 2022 and in International Commercial Law in 2023 from the University of Groningen. He wrote his first LLM thesis on the legality of arbitration clauses in intra-EU bilateral investment treaties from an EU law perspective. His second LLM thesis concerned the relationship between the Posted Workers Directive and the Rome I Regulation pertaining to conflict of laws rules.

Before joining Spark, Elias has completed the Blue Book traineeship in the European Commission Directorate for Budget, where he worked in the Central Financial Service on programme management concerning public procurement, grants and indirect management.

His mother tongue is Finnish and speaks English fluently.
