Irina Ionita is a Trainee Legal Consultant in the Communication Networks and Technology area. She joined Spark Legal and Policy Consulting in 2026.
Irina studied at the University of Amsterdam, where she completed a double degree: one in European Studies, where she specialised in EU law, and one in Psychology, with a focus on social psychology. She also obtained her LLM in European and Public International Law at the same university in 2023.
Prior to joining Spark, Irina worked as a researcher for La Strada International, an NGO platform dedicated to combating human trafficking. In 2026, she also completed her Blue Book traineeship at DG JUST in the Better Regulation team.
Irina is a Romanian native speaker, fluent in English, with a good command of Mandarin Chinese and good understanding of French and Italian.
