Julia Schwarz is a Trainee Legal Consultant at Spark Legal and Policy Consulting, having joined the team in 2026.
Julia obtained her LLB in European Law at Maastricht University in 2023 with a focus on fundamental rights and internet governance. She then completed an LLM in Innovation, Technology and the Law at Edinburgh University in 2025, specialising in the regulation of new technologies and space law.
Before joining Spark, Julia worked at the European Data Protection Supervisor as a Bluebook Trainee. She also worked for PwC Germany in anti-financial crime compliance and gained experience in EU internal market and competition law at the Brussels office of a German law firm, co-authoring a publication on the Foreign Subsidies Regulation.
A native German speaker, she is fluent in English and has basic command of French.
