Julie Prickarts is a Junior Legal Consultant at Spark Legal and Policy Consulting, having joined the company in 2024. Julie is part of the Justice and Home Affairs area.
She is currently working on the “Study to support the Impact Assessment for the Revision of the EPPO Regulation, the OLAF Regulation and the PIF Directive” for DG JUST and the “Study to assess the compliance of Ukrainian legislation with Directive (EU) 2017/1371 on the fight against fraud to the Union’s financial interests by means of criminal law and Regulation (EU, Euratom) No 883/2013 concerning investigations conducted by the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF)” for OLAF.
She has also been involved in several other projects, including the “Study to support the evaluation of the application of Regulation (EU, Euratom) No 883/2013 concerning investigations conducted by the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF)” for OLAF, the “Study on the application of the rules on state liability for breaches of Union law and on the application of the preliminary ruling mechanism under Article 267 TFEU in the Member States of the European Union” for DG JUST, and the “Eligibility check of the non-governmental organisations submitting internal review requests” for DG ENV.
Prior to joining Spark, she worked for a year at the Network for Water and Climate in the Netherlands, and completed the Blue Book traineeship at DG TAXUD, focusing on customs policy and combatting drug trafficking and organised crime.
Julie studied International Relations and International Organisation at the University of Groningen and graduated in 2021. She then went on to obtain a master’s degree in Conflict Resolution and Governance at the University of Amsterdam, graduating in 2022.
Julie is a native Dutch speaker, fluent in English, and has a good understanding of Spanish.
