Matilde Paoloni is a Legal Consultant at Spark Legal and Policy Consulting, having joined the company in 2023.
At Spark, she works in the area of Employment, Education and Health. She participated in several studies for DG EMPL, ELA, HADEA and DG COMP for which she assisted with legal analysis and desk research, as well as also the management of networks of national legal experts. Currently she is assisting with the management of the project ‘SIDE-CIC Social Identity Cards in Construction – Legal expert‘ for the social partners EFBWW and FIEC. Moreover, she is working on the Study for DG EMPL supporting the monitoring of the transposition of Directive (EU) 2019/882 – The European Accessibility Act (EAA) (VT/2021/046) and on the Analytical and technical support to cross-border inspections, including consultancy service (ELA/2022/OP/0002) for the European Labour Authority (ELA).
Matilde obtained her master’s degree in law from the University of Trento in 2022, with her final thesis focusing on the Next Generation EU. During her studies, she spent one semester at the University of Turku and one at the University of Maastricht, where she specialised in European law.
Her mother tongue is Italian, and she speaks English and Spanish fluently.
