Thibaut Mbangwe Biaya is a Trainee Legal Consultant in the Employment, Education and Health team. He joined Spark Legal and Policy Consulting in 2026.
Thibaut obtained two Master’s degrees: an LLM in International Human Rights Law at the University of Groningen. Before that, Thibaut graduated with a dual Bachelor’s degree in French Law and Common Law from the University of Paris Nanterre.
Prior to joining Spark, Thibaut completed an 11-month traineeship at the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights, where he worked in the Equality, Inclusion and Sustainability team on topics including corporate sustainability, workers’ rights, environmental protection and climate change, the housing crisis, as well as simplification in EU law. Before that, he was a research intern supporting the EU-funded project Women in Solidarity for Energy (WISE), raising awareness on women’s energy poverty and advocating for a just energy transition.
Thibaut is a native French speaker, fluent in English and with basic knowledge of Dutch, German and Italian.
